Start 2026 with mindfulness and self-compassion. Tips for chronic illness, energy management, stress reduction, and gentle living to make this year your healthiest yet.

For years, I pushed through life at full speed—ignoring my body, burning out, and living in a loop of stress, pain, and exhaustion. Stress made every one of my chronic conditions worse: Crohn’s, Fibromyalgia, and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. In this post, I share how learning to manage stress changed everything. From self-compassion and emotional awareness to energy planning and setting boundaries—these six lessons have helped me reclaim my health, my calm, and my clarity. Stress management is not a quick fix. It’s a journey of slowing down, letting go, and learning to live with your body—not against it.

Stress has a way of creeping into every corner of life—dictating how we eat, rest, think, and even breathe. In this personal reflection, I explore how stress affects me on both a physical and emotional level. From the drive to always "earn" relaxation, to sleepless nights and crumbling teeth, to the pressure of living a full life in a limited timeframe—it’s all here. This post is a reminder that even when we know better, stress is a pattern we keep learning to soften.

Living with chronic illness isn’t just about physical pain—it’s about loss, invisibility, and constantly navigating a world that doesn’t understand. In this deeply personal post, I share what it’s really like to live with a chronic condition: the exhaustion, the social shifts, the grief, and the emotional weight that comes with it. If you’ve ever felt unseen in your experience, this one’s for you.
